Product Update – Flameshield® Interstice Monitoring Port

Our entire line of Flameshield® double wall storage tanks will now be equipped with a new interstice monitoring port design.  The port will be constructed of an elbow and half coupling attached to the outer jacket and bottom of the tank.  The new design allows condensation collected in the interstice to pool in the elbow away from the inner tank.  Draining any moisture also is more efficient as the monitoring port is at the lowest point on the tank.  A threaded site glass leak gauge with floating ball is also available for quick visual inspection of the interstice condition.
